THE BLACK EYED PEAS
With a Filipino in the group, it is inevitable for the American hip-hop/dance act The Black Eyed Peas to include a concert in Manila in its world tour.
The group made up of Fergie, will.i.am, Taboo, and Filipino rap artist apl.de.ap will perform at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 8 p.m., for the sole Asian stop in their 18-city world tour that began with a three-night concert at The Stade de France in Paris last June.
The group is all set to perform its biggest hits in the concert, opening the 110-minute music extravaganza with “Rock That Body,” “Meet Me Halfway,” and “Just Can’t Get Enough.”
The Black Eyed Peas will also perform its signature songs like “Don’t Phunk with My Heart,” and “My Humps,” from the multi-platinum album Monkey Business, “Shut Up” from the 2003 album Elephunk, and “Imma Be” from last year’s The E.N.D. album.
apl.de.ap will have a solo number, performing “Bebot” for his Pinoy fans, while Fergie will perform a mash-up of “Glamorous,” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.”
The Black Eyed Peas will wrap up the concert performing its biggest dance hits one after the other, starting with 2003’s “Where is the Love?” and ending with 2009’s “I Gotta Feeling.”
